The Zink NBG duck call, Hunter series, single reed. Hunter series pricing on a single reed call, which is a reasonable way to find out whether you get on with single reeds before spending Deluxe money on one.
Single reed calls give you more volume and far more range, from a whisper up to a hail call, but they punish sloppy air. This is what contest callers run and what most people move to after a season or two.

Expect a few frustrating sessions. Single reeds are worth it, but not immediately.
