Streamlight Siege AA Lantern Yellow 200 Lumens

The Streamlight Siege AA lantern in yellow, rated at 200 lumens and running on AA cells.

A lantern does a job no flashlight does well: it throws light in every direction at once, which is what you want inside a tent, over a camp table or under a truck hood. A flashlight aimed at a ceiling is an improvisation. A lantern is the tool.

Running on AA cells matters more than it sounds. Rechargeables are better right up until the third night out, at which point the light that takes cells you can buy in Craig or Steamboat is the one still working.
