Nitecore EDC07 Flashlight Black 1500 Lumens

The Nitecore EDC07 in black, rated at 1500 lumens. EDC in the model name is the usual shorthand for everyday carry — a light meant to live in a pocket and be there when you need it, rather than one that lives in a truck box and gets remembered too late.

That is the whole argument for a pocket light. The best flashlight in Colorado is worthless at half past five on a late October afternoon if it is sitting in the vehicle a mile down the drainage. Legal light ends earlier than people expect, and the walk out is always longer than the walk in.

Fifteen hundred lumens is far more than you need to follow a trail. It is about right for finding a blood spot at forty yards, which is the job that actually matters.
