Nitecore’s DL30, rated at 1100 lumens. Nitecore builds at the enthusiast end of the flashlight market, and the price here reflects that rather than the lumen figure — a hundred and seventeen dollars buys a good deal more than 1100 lumens on its own is worth.
What you are paying for on a light like this is the part you cannot see on a spec sheet: a driver that holds output steady instead of sagging as the cell drains, machining on the threads that still turns smoothly after a season of grit, and anodizing that survives being dropped on granite. A twenty dollar light and a hundred dollar light both make light. Only one of them still does two seasons later.
